Golden Rule Contractors: How our company got started
What's the story behind Golden Rule Contractors? Watch this video to learn about where the name came from and how we got started roofing in Southeast Nebraska over two decades ago.Posted by Golden Rule Contractors on Wednesday, March 22, 2017
Golden Rule Contractors was founded in 1996 by Matt and Dave Burkey. As the oldest two boys in a family of 7, we learned responsibility at a young age living on the farm. Our Mennonite heritage stresses the importance of living by the Golden Rule:
“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
Hence, this is one of the reasons why we decided to name our company Golden Rule Contractors. Our name illustrates our commitment to treating each customer fairly. We treat your property as though it was our own, with honesty and respect.
ROOFING WITH EXCELLENCE
Over the years, Golden Rule Contractors has enjoyed many repeat customers who are always happy to provide references. When we provide you with an estimate, you’ll be treated fairly as honesty and integrity are the guiding principles by which we live and run our business.
Most of all, we want to be a resource for helping you estimate storm damage and work through the claim with your insurance company. That can be confusing and overwhelming. Even if you have, you can always use a good sounding board to talk about the damage or impact to your home and what to do next. We’re here to help. We’ve walked hundreds of roofs looking for hail damage. Our team has talked with countless homeowners about how to work with their insurance company.
Golden Rule Contractors is registered with the State of Nebraska. We are fully insured, complete extra and rigorous training programs. As a result, our team takes the time to ensure your roof is completed with the highest standards of safety. Golden Rule Contractors is a member of the Nebraska Safety Council as well.
